Jane has been in practice since 1994 and taught widely in the UK, Eire and Greece for the European Shiatsu School. She moved back to Australia in 2001, practising in Toowoomba, Queensland. She has recently moved to Hobart and is enjoying settling in to this wonderful island, which is ideal for her other interest and passion, besides health: weaving and spinning.
She fell in love with Shiatsu in the early 1980s and began to study in London under Chris Jarmey at the European School in the early ‘90s. Chris is an internationally known influence on the style of Shiatsu known today. Michael Rose, who studied under Shizuto Masunaga, the founder of Zen Shiatsu, the most popular style of Shiatsu in the west, was another of her key teachers. He always emphasized that whatever area of the body you touch you are treating the whole person. Jane has also been a student of Dayan (Wild Goose) Qigong with Master Michael Tse since 1997 and has been teaching since 2000 in the UK; and in Toowoomba and Brisbane since 2002.
Jane was a Professional member and registered teacher of the Shiatsu Society, UK, for ten years and has been a member of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia (S.T.A.A.) since 2002. She is a Mentor on the Mentoring Pilot Project run by S.T.A.A..
